Get real

Growing up in the country, childhood for me was free and unfettered.  Life had a reality to it that favored resourcefulness over restrictions.  Even if it wasn't always easy.  We grew our own vegies and Dad's hunting provided the meat for most meals - be it rabbit, ducks, fish or lamb or beef that he bartered with farmers.

I learned early in life the power of "giving it your best shot" and persevering when the going gets tough.  When I left home and headed for the big smoke and a career in business, I took the lessons of the land with me.

Of course, it's easy to get caught up in the rat race and for many years my work took me around the world, consulting in the fast-paced environments of corporates and conglomerates.  'Til in 2005, after almost 20 years in apartments and high-rise living, the lure of the land came calling again!

Together with my city-slicker husband, we bought a working farm and my time is now split between speaking and consulting in the city, and managing herds of cattle, donkeys, alpacas and sheep and the hoards of wildlife that inhabit “Spring Creek”.

In my keynote presentations and via Farmer Jen's Blog, I'll share with you the colour and candour of life on the land - and how you can bring this authenticity to your business and your life. Away from the hustle and bustle, life in the country has a simplicity and sincerity that will leave you craving for more.

You’ll enjoy the parallels I draws between the farm and its animal life and the corporate environment I  once called home!   And whether you're an individual or employee, an executive or an entrepreneur, you'll learn more from the lessons of the land that you could ever imagine.

Contact Jen for information on bringing the lessons of the land to your workplace.
